Antioxidants / Lubricant additive packages

Brad-Chem 326

Liquid blend of ashless additives designed for high temperature synthetic lubricants. Contains antioxidants, EP/AW additives and corrosion inhibitors. Excellent activity for ester-based chain lubricants.

Brad-Chem 353

A specially formulated, multifunctional additive blend for the use in biodegradable vegetable oil lubricants, as well as mineral oil and synthetic ester based lubricants. The package incorporates a mixture of EP/AW additives, antioxidants and corrosion inhibtors. European Ecolabel compliant when used at the recommended treat rate in a compliant base oil. Brad-Chem 353 also gives excellent results in Polyalkylene Glycols (PAGs).

Brad-Chem 332

Liquid alkyl diphenylamine antioxidant. for mineral oil and synthetic basestocks. Particularly suitable for high temperature and chain oil applications but also gear oils, compressor oils and hydraulic oils. The product is approved for incidental food contact applications under CFR 21 Part 178.3570

Brad-Chem 336

Liquid blend of phenolic and aminic antioxidants designed for mineral oil and synthetic basestocks. Particularly suitable for high temperature and chain oils applications the product is approved for incidental food contact applications under CFR 21 Part 178.3570. Also suitable for engine oils, gas engine oils, gear oils, hydaulic oils and compressor oils.

Brad-Chem 339

Liquid blend of phenolic antioxidants designed for a wide range of basestocks. Particularly suitable for natural oils such as rapeseed oil, castor oil and unsaturated esters such as TMP oleate. Also siutable for mineral and synthetic base oils for engine oils, gear oils, compressor oils and hydraulic oils.

Brad-Chem 346

Liquid blend of ashless additives for industrial lubricants. Contains antioxidants, EP/AW additives and corrosion inhibitors. Suitable for gear oils, hydraulic oils, chain lubricants, compressor lubricants. NSF registered as HX-1 product for incidental food contact applications and so can be used as the additive package for manufacture of H-1 lubricants.

Brad-Chem 391

Pentaerythritol tetrakis 3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxylphenyl)propionate, CAS No. 6683-19-8. The product is approved for incidental food contact applications under CFR 21 Part 178.3570. Suitable for high temperature chain oils, gear oils, hydraulic oils, compressor oils.

Brad-Chem 395

2,2′ Thiodiethylenebis (3,5-di-tert-butyl-hydroxyhydrocinnamate), CAS No. 41484-35-9. Primary and secondary antioxidant. The product is approved for incidental food contact applications under CFR 21 Part 178.3570. Used for gear, compressor and hydraulic oils.

Brad-Chem 600 Series

The Brad-Chem 600 Series products are designed for a range of metalworking fluid applications.

Brad-Chem DP 3101

A specially formulated, multifunctional additive blend for the use in biodegradable vegetable oil lubricants, as well as mineral oil and synthetic ester based lubricants. The package incorporates a mixture of EP/AW additives, antioxidants and corrosion inhibtors. Use for vegetable oil based gear oils, hydraulic oils and compressor oils. For manufacturing vegetable oil based chain oils using this additive package, we recommend to add Biotac https://www.brad-chem.co.uk/products/biotac/. Brad-Chem DP 3101 also gives excellent results in Polyalkylene Glycols (PAGs).

Contac 2000

Very pale mobile liquid tacky additive with low viscosity and performance similar to Flowtac 2000. Components are approved for incidental food contact so suitable for manufacture of H-1 grade lubricants. Can be used for either food-grade or non-food grade applications.

Flowtac 2000

Oil-soluble tacky additive to provide superior performance over competitive products. A pale, mobile liquid which dissolves rapidly and has superior ‘clingability’ and ‘stringiness’ properties. High efficiency enables lower treat rates.

BioTac

Tacky additive developed for use in the manufacture of biodegradable lubricants. Formulation is > 90% biodegradable by OECD 301B test. Suitable for use in rapeseed oil and other natural oils. Components are approved for incidental food contact applications.

Poly Alpha Olefins (PAO)

We supply the full range of low molecular weight PAO and high molecular weight m-PAO Group IV synthetic base oils. Polybutenes (PIB)

We can supply the full range of polybutenes from low molecular weight poly iso-butylene food grade synthetic base oils for lubricants and cosmetics, to solid polybutene rubbers additives for improving the flex and tack of cling film, plastics, PVC, and rubbers materials, as well as improving the crack resistance of asphalt.

Brad-Chem 401

A 10% dispersion of colloidal, synthetic graphite in mineral oil, which can be used as a general machine and low to medium temperature forging lubricant. This can be also be used as an solid boundary lubricant additive for chain lubricants and industrial oils.

Brad-Chem 403

A stabilised dispersion of semi-colloidal, synthetic graphite in water. Can be used for chain lubricants, dry film lubricants or for refactory coatings.

Brad-Chem 411

A suspension of colloidal, synthetic graphite in mineral oil, which is ideal for dilution with mineral oil, paraffin or white spirits prior to use in forging, die lubrication and drawing. This can be also be used as an solid boundary lubricant additive for chain lubricants and industrial oils.

Brad-Chem 414

A dispersion of natural graphite in a polyalkylene glycol, which evaporates cleanly at high temperatures leaving a residual graphite film that continues to lubricate at temperatures up to 600 °C. Can be used for high temperature chain oils or as an addtive for polyalkylene glycol ( PAG) based industrial oils.

Brad-Chem 415M

Dry film graphtite lubricant that can be applied by dipping, brushing or spraying.

Brad-Chem 424

A dilutable thixotropic, semi-colloidal, stabilised suspension of high purity synthetic graphite in water for hot forging processes. Can also be used for dry film lubricants or for refactory coatings.

Brad-Chem 434

A paste of molybdenum disulphide in polyisobutylene. At high temperature, the synthetic base oil burns off cleanly, leaving a dry film of molybdenum disulphide that continues to lubricate at higher temperatures.

Water based molybdenum disulphide dispersion, suitable for dry film lubrication and cold forging

Brad-Chem DP2636

Air drying, high temperature resistant, molybdenum disulphide dry film lubricant. Additionally, Brad-Chem DP 2636 shows great surface adhesion and is suitable for use in aerosol spray.

Brad-Chem DP 3523

A molybdenum disulphide dispersion in mineral oil, which can reduce wear, improve efficiency and quieten internal combustion engines. It can be used in plain and roller bearings and slideways where stick slip is a problem. It can be used on high performance gearboxes and as a chain lubricant additive.

Brad-Chem DP 3217

A stable cost effective dispersion of molybdenum disulphide in mineral oil which can be used for internal combustion engine, bearings, slideway, high performance gearbox and chain oils.

Brad-Chem 593

Highly effective multi-metal, multi-metal acid corrosion inhibitor with good activity for iron/steel, aluminium and yellow metals in a range of acidic systems at low pH, particularly for sulphuric, phosphoric, sulphamic, citric and tartaric acids.

Brad-Chem DP 3625

A concentrate designed for preparation of Barium-free water displacement fluids. Additionally, the coating gives excellent corrosion protection in humidity and salt spray 30 -90 days protection.

Brad-Chem 557

Brad-Chem 557 is a corrosion inhibitor super concentrate package for making ASTM D 3306 antifreeze concentrates and RTU. Additionally, engine coolants made with Brad-Chem 557 meet the requirements of many international and OEM standards.

Brad-Chem 503

A water soluble multi-metal corrosion inhibitor that protects ferrous metals, aluminium, copper, and yellow metals. Moreover, Brad-Chem 503 also gives above-the-line vapour phase (VCI) protection for in-can applications.

Brad-Chem 526

Liquid multi-metal corrosion inhibitor for oil/solvent-based systems with activity for iron/steel, copper/brass and aluminium. Contains no inorganic constituents, secondary amines or formaldehyde. Components are approved for incidental food contact applications. Can be used in lubricants, fuels, brake fluids, oil, solvent or synthetic oils.

Brad-Chem 532

Liquid, water-soluble triazole-based copper passivator formulation. Contains no inorganics, secondary amines or formaldehyde. Developed for wire drawing applications. Also used for Cobalt leaching and gives good copper, brass and yellow metals corrosion inhibition.

Brad-Chem 533

Liquid, water-soluble tolytriazole solution. Contains no inorganics, secondary amines or formaldehyde. Used in the manufacture of cutting fluids, engine coolants, HFC fluids and other water or emulsion-based applications. Good for copper, brass and yellow metals corrosion inhibition.

Brad-Chem 535

Liquid, water-soluble benzotriazole solution. Contains no inorganics, secondary amines or formaldehyde. Components are approved for incidental food contact applications under CFR 21 part 178.3910. Used in the manufacture of cutting fluids, engine coolants, HFC fluids and other water or emulsion-based applications. Good for copper, brass and yellow metals corrosion inhibition.

Brad-Chem 536

Liquid copper passivator, with full range water-solubility. Furthermore, Brad-Chem 536 gives great copper and yellow metals protection in metalworking fluid and cleaning product formulation.

Brad-Chem 537

General purpose multi-metal inhibitor for water-based systems. Prevents corrosion of iron/steel, copper/brass and staining/corrosion of aluminium. Contains no nitrite, boron, secondary amines or phosphorus compounds. Shows good hard water compatibility and low foaming. Brad-Chem 552

Contains no nitrite, boron, secondary amines or phosphorus compounds. Shows good hard water compatibility and low foaming. Furthermore, all components approved for incidental food contact applications and the formulation is readily biodegradable.

Brad-Chem 564

Water soluble multi-metal corrosion inhibitor for iron/steel, aluminium, silicon, copper, brass and yellow metals, similar to Brad-Chem 563 but formulated to give extra iron/steel protection. Especially suitable for severe conditions such as high chloride waters or systems containing ammonium bromide flame retardant.

Brad-Chem 567

Water soluble multi-metal corrosion inhibitor for aluminium, iron/steel, copper, brass and yellow metals, similar to Brad-Chem 563 but formulated to give extra aluminium protection. Shows good activity for magnesium alloys, particularly when used with silicate.

Brad-Chem 571

Liquid acyl sarcosine inhibitor for use in oils, solvents and greases. Effective inhibitor for iron/steel and aluminium. Active at low use levels and approved for incidental food contact applications.

Brad-Chem 581

A water-based, cost effective, multimetal corrosion inhibitor with low toxicity and environmental impact.

Brad-Chem 583

Multimetal corrosion inhibitor for advanced light alloys and aerospace metals, designed to provide superior corrosion protection to aluminium, particularly at high pH, as well as ferrous and other non-ferrous metals. Also good for galvanised metals. This product also gives excellent in-can below the line corrosion inhibition for neutral to mildly alkaline solutions in aluminium and tin plate cans.

Brad-Chem 586

A water-based, cost effective, multimetal corrosion inhibitor with low toxicity and environmental impact. This product gives copper corrosion inhibition without the use of triazoles.

Multimetal corrosion inhibitor for advanced light alloys and aerospace metals with particularly good corrosion inhibiion for aluminium alloys.

Brad-Chem 588

Highly advanced aqueous multimetal corrosion inhibitor for metalworking fluids (MWF). Also good for metal parts processing and washing applications. Based on the acids of Corfree M1. Brad-Chem 588 is a drop-in replacement for both Corfree M1 and the bases typically used to neutralise them. For cutting fluids formulated with non-formaldehyde releasing biocides, we offer bespoke versions with improved biocide stability.

Brad-Chem 591

A filming amine type liquid multi-metal, multi-acid corrosion inhibitor formulation, suitable for a range of acid cleaning, water treatment and pipeline applications.

Brad-Chem DP 3633

Highly advanced very concentrated aqueous multimetal corrosion inhibitor designed for use in metalworking fluids (MWF), and metal parts processing and washing applications. Based on the acids of Corfree M1, this product is designed as a drop-in replacement for both Corfree M1 and the bases that are typically used to neutralise them. A version of this product with improved stability in cutting fluids formulated with non-formaldehyde releasing biocides is available and bespoke versions can be developed for unusual applications if the volumes are appropriate. This product benefits from a relatively low treat rate.

Brad-Chem 725

Concentrate for the manufacture of water-based, VOC-free corrosion preventatives for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. A range of soft film corrosion preventative emulsions can be made from the one concentrate. The product is also soluble in hydrocarbon solvents and so can be applied by the traditional method, e.g. using white spirit of petroleum distillate.

Patented multi-metal corrosion inhibitor with good activity for a wide range of metals. Particularly effective for aluminium and aluminium alloys such as Al 7075, even at high pH. Recommended for aircraft cleaners and aluminium cutting fluids and for textiles cleaning and processing applications where metal components are included in the textile items.

Brad-Tech 6030

Patented multi-metal acid corrosion inhibitor with good activity for iron/steel, aluminium and yellow metals in a range of acidic systems at low pH.
